Meet Due South Events
Hello and welcome! My name is Kelsey and I am the owner of South and Anchor. You may be asking yourself, “Why Due South Events?” While I was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland (which, by the way, is technically below the Mason Dixon Line) I have always truly felt that I am a southerner at heart. Not only am I drawn to the slow southern lifestyle, I also aim to decorate my home and my wardrobe with coastal and rustic accents. I also love shrimp and grits so, there’s that.
To break the ice, here are five more facts about me:
[one] I’m recently married! My husband, Nic, and I were supposed to get married in Charleston on September 15, 2018 but it was postponed due to Hurricane Florence. We ended up getting married in Annapolis, MD in the bar where we met - you can read more about that here!
[two] My husband and I recently moved to Charleston, SC! My husband moved down in the spring for a job and I moved down in November. We are thrilled to be starting our married life in a city we have loved for years.
[three] My favorite place to be is by the water. Anywhere by the water – on a beach, on a boat, or simply on a dock. It’s funny because I refused to step foot on sand and wore sneakers on the beach until I was five years old but that’s a story for another day.
[four] This past year I started to transition to a safer skincare and beauty routine. My favorite brands that I have found so far are: Beautycounter, Cocokind, Herbivore Botanicals, Indie Lee, Primally Pure, RMS Beauty, Tata Harper Skincare, and True Botanicals.
[five] I love to travel and I especially enjoy the excitement that builds in the process of planning a trip. I am guilty of creating a custom google map and writing itineraries every. single. time. Perhaps it’s the organized event planner in me?
I am thrilled to be starting Due South Events and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store. I am so grateful you stopped by to learn more about me. The services I offer can be found here. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, please reach out!
